  1. Career Support Programme (CSP)

The Career Support Programme (CSP) is a salary support programme offered by Workforce Singapore (WSG) and the Employment and Employability Institute (NTUC’s e2i) to encourage employers to hire eligible Singapore Citizen Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs).

It is a part of the Adapt and Grow initiative to help Singapore Citizens adapt to changing job demands and enhance their employability.

Receive up to $42,000 in salary support for up to 18 months when you hire Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs) who are unemployed for 6 months or more, in jobs that pay a gross salary of at least $3,600 (for SMEs) /  $4,000 (Non-SMEs)

  1. Career Trial

Employers can assess jobseekers’ job fit through a short-term trial before offering employment paying a minimum salary of at least $1,500/month for full time position, and $750/month for part-time position or more, to suitable Singapore Citizens.

To help Singaporean jobseekers try out more jobs, including part-time work, the Career Trial scheme has been expanded to include part time jobs offered by employers. This will take effect from 15 May 2019

  1. P-MAX

P-Max is a Place-and-Train Programme that aims to:

        - Help SMEs to better recruit, train, manage and retain their newly-hired PMETs

        - Encourage the adoption of progressive human resource practices within SMEs

        - Help to place job-seeking PMETs into suitable SME jobs.

  1. P-MAX Lite

This programme targets non-hiring supervisors in SME’s who are keen to learn progressive HR practices to better manage their existing staff.

  1. Professional Conversion Programme (PCP)

Professional Conversion Programmes (PCPs) are career conversion programmes targeted at Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs), including mid-career switchers, to undergo skills conversion and move into new occupations or sectors that have good prospects and opportunities for progression.

        - Place-and-Train: PMET is hired by a participating employer before undergoing training to take on a new job role 

        - Attach-and-Train: PMET is provided with training and work attachments, in advance of job placement through industry partners in growth sectors with better future job opportunities

        - Redeployment: PMET at risk of redundancy is retained by existing employers and provided with training to take on new job roles within the same company

  1. Skills Framework

The Skills Framework is an integral component of the Industry Transformation Map developed in partnership with Employers, Industry Associations, Education Institutions, Unions and Government for the Singapore workforce

The Skills Framework provides key information on sector, career pathways, occupations/job roles, as well as existing and emerging skills required for the occupations/job roles. It also provides a list of training programmes for skills upgrading and mastery

  1. SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace

Formerly known as Future@Work, this national initiative aims to equip Singaporeans with the mind-set and basic functional skills to prepare for the future economy.

The programme is designed to help all Singaporean adults, including those planning to return to the workforce.

  1. SkillsFuture Work – Study Post Diploma

The Skills Future Work-Study Post-Diploma, formally known as the Skills Future Earn and Learn Programme, is a work-learn study programme that gives Fresh Graduates from Polytechnics a head-start in careers related to their discipline of study. It provides them with more opportunities, after graduation, to build on the skills and knowledge they acquired in school, and better supports their transition into the workforce

Participating employers can recruit local fresh talent, within three years of graduation or the Operational Ready Date for National Servicemen and prepare them to take up suitable job roles. Participants in the programme can look forward to a structured career progression pathway within the organisation.

This programme is designed in collaboration with industry to ensure relevance to employers and the growth of the sector.

  1. SkillsFuture Series

SkillsFuture Series is a series of curated work-skills related short and modular courses focusing on eight emerging areas – Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Tech-Enabled Services, Digital Media, Advanced Manufacturing, and Urban Solutions

This new initiative aims to equip working adults with specific skills sets to meet changing job demands in the eight emerging areas, enabling them to stay relevant and competitive for the future. Individuals will gain access to quality industry-relevant programmes starting with over 400 courses catered at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels

  1. National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE)

Companies can now receive support in building up their work-learn capabilities and developing workplace learning systems with the launch of the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE)
